Tokyo Logistics Co-Creation Cluster

Logistics

A cluster where major players in the logistics industry and innovative startups co-create to transform the entire logistics value chain—from sourcing to final delivery to consumers—aiming to establish the next-generation de facto standard in logistics that supports people’s daily lives.

eiicon Co., Ltd., will lead the initiative in collaboration with major logistics players experienced in working with startups—Seino Holdings Co., Ltd., Sagawa Express Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation—as well as the investment institution Spiral Innovation Partners Co., Ltd.
eiicon has an extensive track record in supporting co-creation and operates AUBA, Japan’s largest open innovation platform.
Through open innovation with innovative startups, the cluster aims to generate new technologies and services that drive the resolution of social and industrial challenges and promote further development.

We call for innovative startups to address the structural challenges of the logistics industry and foster co-creation projects through multiple programs, including acceleration programs and events. By providing hands-on support for business expansion and assistance toward social implementation, we aim to drive the growth of participating companies and accelerate their impact on society.

  • Planning and operation of acceleration programs and matching events aimed at creating collaborative businesses
  • Hands-on mentoring support for co-creation projects
  • Provision of funding for proof-of-concept and implementation (up to JPY 4 million per project)
  • Mentoring and matching support by experts and investors
  • Support for branding and public relations
  • Consulting specialized in open innovation
  • Access to assets held by participating companies

Japan’s logistics industry, renowned worldwide for its quality, is a vital social infrastructure that is closely connected to people’s daily lives. At the same time, complex and multifaceted challenges are emerging—such as labor shortages, transportation capacity constraints, and environmental impacts—symbolized by the “2024 problem.”
To confront these issues, we will generate high-value use cases through co-creation between major industry leaders and startups, helping to resolve not only immediate logistics challenges but also broader social and industrial concerns.
Through business creation driven by co-creation, we aim to build an open ecosystem that delivers new value to society, expands business domains globally, and supports the sustainable growth of startups.
